Brickbrickbrick. English/history/communications building.
Front face of the main building ("Main Hall"). Want crazy? Some of those are student rooms, even though they're right above the lobby.
That little house is where oil painters go. No other class is allowed in there. You don't have to take down your stuff between classes; you get full use of your personal studio space at any time, since it's a strict "as many students in the class as there are permanent spots in the death house" policy.
The outdoor plays are done here.
Front campus looks better in spring, with rolling hills and full trees, but this is good too.
The view from my window. I always have the curtains down, because these windows a stone's throw from mine are faculty offices. I've waved good morning to them before, but generally no interaction. Too weird. Sometimes faculty also walk up through the dorm to get to that raised walkway that you see (it's on the second floor) to get to that building, since if it's raining, that means less rain between the parking lot and their offices. When I lived on first floor of that building, some professors passed within three feet of where I slept every class day (since my bed was up against the wall which met the stairwell). If you think that's bad, some student rooms are directly above classrooms. Small colleges have strange layouts.
And our dining hall. Stir-Fry Guy (who makes more than just stir-fry, for instance, today was vegan falafel) is fucking amazing. He's only there for lunch, but he makes amazing food. He once made salmon cakes which were better than any I'd ever had in a restaurant. I'll miss him when I leave; he's a really nice guy and always remembers students' dining preferences, so even if he has a meat dish, he'll tell us vegetarians/pescatarians what are the best meals being served that day without meat. Also, if his dish is meat, he'll always make at least one soup that is vegetarian. He also makes a wicked shrimp something delicious or other. I have no idea why he works here . _________________ "Yuh’ve ulways suffered, Ulder, from being far too repulsed by this land. Ooh, snow! Always wanted to feel snow. Closest I got was fridge frost.
Is the little painter's room locked, or do people just stay away?
Oh, and Pick, what kind of vegetarian are you anyway? Not a fan of any farmed products, including eggs? _________________ It is said that only in the tropics can an oil spill bring forth an enchanting spectrum of rainbow light. |

Try to go somewhere with snow sometime, enough to go sledding anyway. It's a lot of fun .

We have electronic key cards on campus. They have different sets of permissions depending on the individual. Campus security's key cards unlock everything. If I recall correctly, professor's key cards open everything except the unattached dorms and the upper levels of the main building (where students live). They can access the dorms along the main "line" of buildings, such as mine, because we're in-between buildings they might need to access (such as the library and dining hall). Students can access, well, the things you'd expect. Only students in the painting class can unlock the little house, though.

Technically I'm a pescatarian, so I eat fish (and eggs also). I only eat fish on the Seafood Watch list of sustainably harvested fish, though, which cuts it down A LOT. I only eat free-range eggs. _________________ "Yuh’ve ulways suffered, Ulder, from being far too repulsed by this land. | Nice! Spent the evening watching the first two Harry Potter movies with a new friend. Wondering if I should try to hook her up with a friend of mine, but I dunno if they'd be any more compatible than I am with her. |

Thanks!
And I'm... wow, just surviving I guess. I've gotten a ways through editing chapter 8 and there will be an update this weekend. It has Kesyl! Lots of Kesyl. _________________ "Yuh’ve ulways suffered, Ulder, from being far too repulsed by this land.
